A Change in Direction

Hey Friends,

In life, there comes a time when you have to sit back and re-evaluate things.  Sometimes those things are good, sometimes bad.  Sometimes things need to be pruned, sometimes they need to be accelerated.  In any case, the time comes, action is required, and changes are made.  Well, that time has come for Restored Warriors.  When Restored Warriors was formed, it was formed as a “Unwanted Sexual Addiction” group ministry.  As time changed, a couple of the teachings changed.  Then a few more teachings were added, but forward direction with sexual addiction was happening.

In the spring of 2022, the Lord started working in my heart, showing me that men didn’t just need help with their minds, but they also needed help with their Spiritual lives.  I started pursuing different avenues and kept finding nothing that was going to teach what I felt I was being led to do.  I found one that was close, but still not 100 percent.  So, I felt that I was to write a new curriculum for Restored Warriors.  Not just a short 16 week teaching, but a 2-3 year teaching that would refocus and refine a man’s thinking and heart for God.  This was a daunting task, but if it was what God wanted, then I had to do it.  I didn’t tell very many people about this, but just started.  This didn’t come without distractions.  As with anything that God wants, evil always tries to derail it.  Well, in the spring of 2023, still writing, we moved into that new platform of teachings, the one close to my vision.  The men of Restored Warriors reacted in an overwhelming way.  This was what their souls had been searching for.  They stated things like, “I wish we had done this from the beginning.” or “This is the best teaching we have done yet”.  So, with that, I knew it was full steam ahead.

The focus of the new curriculum is 100 percent discipleship, with a focus on issues men have in their daily lives.  You may be asking, so you are moving away completely from sexual addiction? Absolutely not!  Sexual addiction continues to run at a 68 percent issue in the men of the church today.  We would be making a grave error to move away from that.  However, it is not the only issue men face and that we will be dealing with.  You see, discipleship not only involves learning the word, but application of it also.  So, men need to be lead into changing or improving their daily walk, in life, not just in church.  There are many issues the new curriculum is going to be working with.  However, sexual addiction will still be a major part of the learning.

In December of 2023, I had to have help with the refinement of the curriculum.  So, God showed me that there was even more change that needed to come.  The Board of Directors of Restored Warriors was to focus on the overseeing of the finances and payments, and a new team was to be formed.  This team was to be 5 men, active in Restored Warriors.  They were to be anonymous so that they could hear the full hearts of the men.  You know sometimes when you know you are talking to a leader, your conversation changes, yet when people are talking to other men, they speak from their hearts.  So, anonymous it had to be, to hear conversation from the heart.  This team was to help govern the new curriculum and the implementation of it.  They were also to help give direction to the curriculum from the men’s hearts.  This team was formed.  They are known as the “Advisory Team“.  This team meets on a regular basis to discuss forward movement.  They are involved in the current plans and the future and distant future of Restored Warriors.  I am 100 percent accountable to this team on not just the operations of Restored Warriors, but of my personal life also.

What’s Coming:

Over the next several months, you will start seeing changes made to the website.  Some of the sexual addiction items will be changing to “Discipleship“.  There will be other topics that will be placed on the website.  Old curriculums will be removed, and the main focus will be the new curriculum.  A new facelift of the website will also happen.

The curriculum will be rolled out very soon.  All new members will start the new curriculum.

OH I almost forgot to share with you… The name of the new curriculum is: The Restored Warrior!

The Restored Warrior is a Word based, Faith empowered curriculum for the Healing and Restoration from simply put… Life.  By focusing on the Word of God first, allowing Him to Restore, Refocus and Heal our Hearts and by learning the processes of your Mind, you will be equipped to conquer the many problems we face on a daily basis.

So, there you have it.  That’s the New Direction of Restored Warriors!  Please know that as we move forward, the main Focus of Restored Warriors is on God, not our addictions or failures, but on God.  With God’s help, mercy and grace, we overcome our past and current failures and press forward to a new higher calling.  Restored Warriors will ALWAYS point a man to God for His true healing!
