On January 13, 2020, during a church service, Daniel Glasco (Our Founder & Director), lifted his hand to God and things have never been the same. At that moment, God radically changed Daniel’s life. Starting to dive into God’s word and spending lots of time in prayer, one night in Mid-March, God revealed his first layer of the plan to Daniel.
“It was as if I was watching a movie play in my mind” Daniel shared with friends Kim & Dwight Tanksley. “In my dream, there I was, standing before a huge crowd, reaching my hands out and they were getting set free.” Daniel, coming from a same sex attraction background, figured the ministry he would be doing would be for setting men with same sex attraction free through Jesus Christ.
A few weeks later, God did it again, “I saw myself and hundreds of men, sitting behind computer monitors and men’s lives were changing.” At that moment, Daniel knew it would be an all-digital ministry. “I can remember sitting with Kim & Dwight telling them all about the visions and how I felt God was going to use me, and them saying, but we don’t know anything about how to help you in an all-digital ministry.”
As time passed, there were more visions, of such things as a Restoration Center and where it would be located, even the way it would be laid out. On and on the ministry of Restored Warriors developed, but still thinking it would be for same sex attraction. Until one June night, Daniel was at a church service where the guest speaker came to him and said, “God has shown me that you are going to be in a great ministry. This ministry, however, will be the hardest ground that can be plowed. No church wants to plow this ground, but God has called you to do the work.” Wow, confirmation!
A few days later, a friend of Daniel’s came to him with a DVD set of a popular video series. Daniel watched every episode that night. It was that night, that God showed Daniel that the ministry would be for pornography & unwanted sexual addictions. Is it the hardest ground that can be plowed? It’s funny, cause statistics show that 7% of pastors say their church offers ministry programs for those struggling with pornography and unwanted sexual addictions. So, will it be the hardest ground to be plowed, it is already proving to be.
Daniel set in to developing the first website and found a source for men with these addictions. He started reaching out to them, and they started responding with an eager yes, they want to be a part of a group. Daniel started Restored Warriors in September 2020 with 2 groups meeting at 7pm and 9pm. That quickly grew over the next couple of months to 10 groups. At the start of 2021, Daniel and 2 other group leaders were leading 14 groups.
In February 2021, Restored Warriors had their first Retreat in Nashville Tennessee, where 7 guys got together for a time of sharing, praying, and encouraging each other. At that time, in February 2021, Restored Warriors was ministering to over 100 people weekly.
In June of 2021, Daniel went full time into the ministry of Restored Warriors. The ministry continued to grow and see men finding their freedom in Christ from pornography addictions.
As Restored Warriors neared its first full year of ministry, a Fall Reunion was being planned. At first, there was expectations of over 150 men participating. Daniel and the men started praying for God to show up and show out at the Reunion. They also prayed that the men who came, would be radically changed. Two weeks before Reunion, there were only 13 people signed up. Feeling defeated, Daniel was encouraged by a Restored Warriors Brother saying, “those with small beginnings have more longevity than big ones”. Also, that the men who attend will be able to help with the influence of the following years attendance. Reunion was also scheduled to be at a local Cape Girardeau church, but it was moved to Kim & Dwight’s home, for a more intimate and family setting. Well on September 16, 2021, 2 of the men had to back out due to illness and family conflicts, leaving 11 men at the Reunion. Reunion started and God started moving in the men’s lives. By Saturday night, the men were reporting a feeling that things would never be the same again. Daniel exclaimed, “A line has been drawn, lets cross it and never look back.” At the close of the Reunion the men started returning home, only to find that 7 of them, including Daniel, had been infected with a virus. It was obvious that Satan was mad, but the men fought through the sickness and come out victors on the other side.
In the spring of 2022, the Lord showed Daniel that Restored Warriors would be transitioning from just a unwanted sexual addiction ministry to a full discipleship ministry. Daniel sat out to start developing a new curriculum to lead the ministry forward into discipleship. In the fall of 2023, Daniel was nearing the midway point of creating a full four year curriculum which would help men grow in every area of their life through The Restored Warrior course. This course is completely focused on helping men develop into the disciple that God has called them into. Although they didn’t move completely away from unwanted sexual addiction. There are multiple locations in the course that refers back to unwanted sexual addiction, it being one of the largest issues that Christian men face today. The Restored Warrior officially launched in September 2024 as a 3-year discipleship curriculum designed to lead men into lasting freedom, spiritual maturity, and identity in Christ. Since its launch, multiple additional teachings have been written by Daniel to deepen and strengthen the discipleship process, equipping men to walk in truth, integrity, and daily victory. Restored Warriors continues to grow as a powerful movement of restoration, accountability, and Spirit-led transformation for men everywhere.
Looking forward, there is nowhere to go but up. Plans of the following Reunions and Retreats to be bigger, but to not lose that intimate and family feeling. Plans are being made for Retreats across the nation. Bass tournaments, golf tournaments, elk hunting, wild boar hunting, and many more events are being planned for upcoming months. Restored Warriors is a ministry on the move. It is growing at a rapid pace.
